It is being used so much today. It is one of the top ingredients. Sodium lauryl sulfate dries your skin out by stripping your protective oils, which causes skin and eye irritation. It has also been thought to cause canker sores. So why is this ingredient being used often? It's a filler, creates lather, and is inexpensive. Products containig this ingredient are used to clean the floors of auto body garages, so why are we using this on our hair, face, and body?
